"The only digression from my most ordinary self is that the Lord
has chosen to give to me words. They came in a plain brown wrapper,
inside an old stone jar, treasures in an earthern vessel. Some
sparkle like diamonds. Others shine like nuggets of gold or silver.
Still others have the irridescence of pearls. Most are macrame beads,
or mismatched buttons. In the privacy of my secret place I take them
one by one and string them together. I offer these words to you. In
this place you will find words that glorify my Lord and Savior. You
will find words of love and heartache. You will find observations from
my little world. If you look carefully, there among the buttons and
beads you just might see a glitter of gold or a flash of diamond. You
just may see a most extraordinary piece of my most ordinary heart.
